1997

A celebration of 125 years of shared effort and enthusiasm – of families united, vineyards harvested, bubbles created and glasses 'chinked'.

We like to think Jaume, Anna, Josep & Manuel were all beaming with pride.

2001

Codorníu celebrated its 450th anniversary.

To commemorate, we welcomed King Juan Carlos I for his second visit to the Codorníu Winery and Cellars. While there, King Carlos signed the Codorníu label on the world’s largest bottle, known as Gran Cavit Primato -  a bottle of 26 litres.

2004

Codorníu revolutionised the market by launching the first 100% Pinot Noir rosé cava.

For a while, Codorníu had been convinced that Pinot Noir was a fantastic grape to include in our sparkling wines and had planted lots of vines in anticipation of a change in the regulations that has previously allowed only indigenous varieties in cavas.

2010

Once again at the vanguard, Codorníu has crafted the first cava to be made as a ‘Blanc de Noirs’ style – made famous in the Champagne region –  a white sparkling wine, made from black grapes.

Another in the long line of family-led innovations. The first of a new generation.
